With Support at Home demanding that home care providers show how they are providing clinical oversight of their clients – and identify deteriorating residents – the market for in-home technology that can monitor residents’ health and relieve staffing pressures is about to heat up.
The new program starting 1 July 2025 will deliver new funding streams for assistive technology and higher funding levels to keep older Australians at home – and a vital source of new revenue for operators.
But home care providers need to have the tech solutions on stand-by to ensure they can show the regulator they are intervening early – and keep their clients living well at home so they can continue to tap this funding.
