With resident acuity increasing and few aged care beds available, retirement villages are quickly shifting from 'independent living’ to the new ‘low care’ option for older Australians – the success of private aged care models like LDK Seniors’ Living shows there is an alternative that works.

 LDK Seniors’ Living’s unique Village Membership model has laid the groundwork for the rest of the sector to follow as the Federal Government embraces the delivery of care in retirement living.

Founded by private aged care veteran Paul Browne (pictured below), and led by CEO Byron Cannon (pictured above), the model centres on an upfront Village Membership fee in place of the traditional back-end Deferred Management Fee which enables the operator to invest in staffing and services for its residents from when they enter the village.
