As former Interim Inspector-General of Aged Care Ian Yates AM stated at the 2025 LEADERS SUMMIT, the sector has already had its ‘aged care’ election – operators must therefore devise their own rescue plan.

Aged care is no longer in the political spotlight. If the sector wants the politicians to fix the problems that still exist post-Royal Commission reforms, it needs to develop its own solutions in collaboration with the Government and other stakeholders.
