What do retirement village residents want from the next Federal Government?

The retirement village residents’ associations are pushing for reforms to help older Australians downsize without financial penalties – and obtaining more Government-funded rent assistance and Home Care Packages for seniors.

Craig Bennett (pictured above), the President of the NSW Retirement Village Residents’ Association (RVRA), has told SATURDAY that navigating the system has become increasingly complex for retirees, particularly with the incoming changes to the aged care and home care legislation.

“It can feel akin to The 12 Labours of Asterix – especially the eighth task in the place that sends you mad,” he stated.
