Baldwin Living acquires Victorian retirement village from Longo Family – its second in the state

1 min read

The retirement village operator acquired Kensington Retirement Village, in Geelong, Victoria, as part of the company’s initiative to grow its HomeServe business throughout Australia.

The boutique retirement village, which is now known as Baldwin Living Kensington Hill and consists of 71 independent living units, will continue to operate as it had before.

All villas, comprised of one and two bedrooms, offer flexibility to deliver Home Care services.

The purchase brings the total number of Baldwin Living properties to eight, adding to their existing villages in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart.

“Growing the Baldwin Living group whilst retaining our boutique family feel is one of our key strategies, and the acquisition of this Geelong village embodies that,” Baldwin Living CEO Paul Burkett said.

The group remains in the ownership of the family of the late Tony Baldwin, who is regarded as one of the pioneers of the modern retirement village sector.
