The small provider, based in south Sydney for over 30 years, is branching out to the NSW far north coast with a $17.8 million facility.
Palms secured the bed allocation for Highfields Manor Port Macquarie in the latest Aged Care Approvals Round (ACAR), which gave over a third of the 13,500 new residential care places to regional and remote areas.
The Cowper electorate, where Highfields Manor will be built, received the largest allocation of aged care places in the funding round – 26% of NSW placements.
The development will complement the organisation’s one existing facility, Palms Aged Living in Kirawee – an hour south of Sydney’s CBD.
