A code assessable plan for a 221-home land lease Solana Lifestyle Resort has been lodged with Mackay Regional Council in Queensland.

Stockwell Development Group, a QLD-based family business since 1952, has submitted the plans for the 11.73ha lifestyle resort in Rural View, a suburb in Mackay, 970km north of Brisbane’s CBD.

The Solana Lifestyle Resort will target the over-50s market with submitted plans including recreation facilities including tennis courts, a bowling green, park areas, swimming pools and a community centre.

“It is proposed that the dwellings will all comprise either two-bedroom accommodation or two-bedroom plus multipurpose room or three-bedroom accommodation options, and range between single and double lock up garage,” Stockwell Development Group state.

Stage one would include the construction of 42 homes, communal recreation facilities, main entry, 39 visitor parking spaces and an RV and caravan parking.

This will be Stockwell’s third LLC, in addition to Solana resorts in Bribie Island (final stage released) and 1770 Agnes Waters.
