The operator, which is owned by property developer Knowles Group, has bought its 51st residential aged care home, The Orchards, a 120-bed facility in Lisarow, mid-way between Sydney and Newcastle in NSW.
The acquisition expands the provider's "Circle of Care" residential aged care focus on the Central Coast, which already consists of Arcare Kanwal, Arcare Belmont, and Arcare Warners Bay (opening in May 2024).
The Orchards is co-located within The Orchards Retirement Village, which is operated by family-owned The Astoria Group.
Colin Singh (pictured), Arcare Aged Care CEO, said the provider is working to ensure a smooth transition for residents, families and staff.
“I can reassure the community that there will be no changes to current residents’ fees or security of tenure as a result of the sale," Colin said.
"I hope that when residents and the team have had a chance to get to know us, they will share our excitement as we join the community and continue to offer high-quality care on the Central Coast.”
Arcare Aged Care, which has 40 years' experience in the aged care sector, is slated to open its Gisborne residential aged care facility, in Victoria's Macedon Ranges, 54km northwest of Melbourne, at the end of 2024, which will bring the provider's total number of homes to 53.
