Hometown Australia has bought Malcolm May’s Macquarie Shores Home Village on the NSW Central Coast.
The over 50s manufactured housing estate of 215 homes in Doyalson North, 110km north-northeast of Sydney’s CBD, has two homes for sale on its website: a two-bedroom home for $260,000 and a two-bedroom with sunroom for $315,000.
The country’s largest land lease operator has been less active in its acquisitions to its newer rivals. In July last year, Hometown bought Kingfisher Gardens land lease estate, 4km from Toowoomba’s CBD in Queensland.
Hometown Australia is the Australian arm of the US over 55s and all-age communities owner/operator Hometown America, which has more than 24,000 homes across the USA. The latest research from Chadwick Property Valuers states Hometown Australia is approaching 10,000 homes.
