Record breaking
Palm Lake Resort's Pelican Waters land lease community breaks record with $4M+ sale

Branded as Australia’s most exclusive over-50s lifestyle resort, Pelican Waters is living up to the label.

With 30 homes already occupied at the resort and another 30 under contract, the Elliott family business has agreed a $4M+ price for one luxury home, with potentially more to come.

With Palm Lake Works building its own resorts, Palm Lake Care CEO and Director Daniel Aitchison said it was easy to modify and up spec designs to suit the buyer.

"They really are unbelievable and like nothing else you will see, when you take people through the displays, they can’t believe their eyes" he said," Daniel said.

Pelican Waters is a 330-home development attached to a Greg Norman-designed golf course, which regularly features in the top 100 golf courses in the country.

"Palm Lake Group is actually the second largest land lease provider in Australia,” Daniel told a Westpac Leading Conversations at the Wharf luncheon in Brisbane on Friday.

"We have ready to go probably about a thousand homes. But then if you looked at land banking and stuff that's being worked up, probably 2,000 homes. Would we be one of the busiest? Feels like it."

Scott Elliott, Palm Lake Group Managing Director, said the walls of Pelican Waters’ Springs Country Club will be up by Christmas in readiness for a very impressive sky dome that has been added to the plan.

"We’ve also just completed a $350,000 boardwalk that will allow our nature-loving homeowners the chance to really enjoy the rich array of flora and fauna we are blessed to have onsite. With a koala reserve right next door, the boardwalk (which is a few kilometres long) will allow our homeowners and their visiting family members and friends to take in a little koala-spotting as well. This is one very, very exciting project for us all."
