Formed in 2015, the Residential Land Lease Alliance has 12 members – Avington Point Cook, Caravan Industry Association, Gannon Lifestyle Communities, Hampshire Villages, Halcyon, Hometown Australia, Ingenia Lifestyle, Land Lease Living Industry Association NSW, Lifestyle Communities, Pandora Lifestyle Villages, Serenitas and Stockland.
The membership occupies around 70% of all land lease communities in Australia, which is a far bigger representation than the Property Group’s Retirement Living Council.
Lifestyle Communities Managing Director James Kelly was its first Chairman but the role is now occupied by Natalie Kwok (pictured), Chief Investment Officer and General Counsel at ASX-listed Ingenia Communities.
It meets every six months and states it has been “particularly active in lobbying state and federal government to recognise land lease communities as an innovative and effective housing affordability solution, particularly for semi-retired and retired people wishing to downsize.”
