Regis Aged Care to open Camberwell home in Melbourne's east in November

The only aged care company remaining on the Australian Stock Exchange has completed its 112-bed Camberwell aged care home, 10km east of the Melbourne CBD, and is now accepting expressions of interest.

"It is stunning," said Regis Aged Care CEO Linda Mellors, who visited the home this week. "The frontline team has commenced and is busy getting the home ready for residents. Thank you to all involved!"

The home, which overlooks parklands, includes a salon, day spa, private dining facilities, cinema and library.

Regis Camberwell will provide a range of care options, including permanent care, respite care, palliative care, a Memory Support Unit and ageing in place.

In September, after the Government and the Opposition announced a deal on aged care reforms and the Aged Care Bill was tabled in parliament, Regis Aged Care announced it will proceed with additional new builds in:

  • Toowong, 4km southwest of the Brisbane CBD,
  • Belrose, 19km north of the Sydney CBD, and
  • Carlingford, 24km southwest of the Sydney CBD.

An open day of Regis Camberwell, located at 1-11 Quinton Road, Camberwell, Melbourne, will be held 10am-3pm, Saturday 26 October.
