The private village operator has officially opened its first vertical village at Burleigh on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The Verge, which is located alongside the 10th fairway at Burleigh Golf Club, has a mixture of one-, two- and three-bedroom and penthouse apartments, designed by O’Neill Architecture, from $510,000 to $1.25 million. Each apartment has parking for one vehicle and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Only two three-bedroom apartments are on the fifth-storey penthouse level and have separate balconies on both the North and South-West side. A deposit has been taken on the penthouse selling for $1.25 million.
RetireAustralia said It is also the first retirement village in Queensland with both a Green Star and Gold Australian Liveable Housing design accreditation.
The Verge is one of a number of new villages being built by RetireAustralia, which has 29 villages across Australia.
The Rise at Glen Wood, Erina, on the NSW Central Coast has one independent living three-bedroom apartment for sale, and an additional 70 assisted living apartments have been built at Glengara Care at Tumbi Umbi, also on the NSW Central Coast.
