RetireAustralia unveils plans for operator’s first apartment-style development in QLD – and new care offering

1 min read

Fancutts Retirement Living will feature 183 independent living apartments and 35 care apartments for residents needing a higher level of support in their homes in an eight-storey vertical village on the Fancutts Tennis Centre site at Lutwyche, 5km north of the Brisbane CBD.

RetireAustralia CEO Alison Quinn says the new care apartments will become standard across all its new development projects and provide a wide range of services, including private and government-funded care.

“Our focus on delivering a quality lifestyle for residents that is centred on choice, independence and well being will transcend well beyond industry standards to provide flexible living options where care services are tailored to the individual and allow them to remain in their home and within the village community,” she said.

Using the tagline ‘Stay close, stay connected and stay in style at Fancutts,’ Ms Quinn says the village itself, designed by leading seniors living architects Marchese Partners in collaboration with the University of Stirling in Scotland, will set a new standard for retirement living.

Construction on the first stage is expected to start by mid-2019.
