Are retirement living operators experiencing sales challenges?

Two high profile retirement village operators are offering cash inducements to entice clients into their homes.

The first quarter of the year is typically the peak selling season for retirement living properties. The marketing tactics by Keyton, the leading retirement living operator in Australia, and the major continuum of care operator Ryman Healthcare Australia, show signs the Full Year sales targets may be in question.

Now is the time to lock sales in to deliver bottom line results in the next three months to 30 June.

Summerset Group’s first continuum of care village in Cranbourne North, Melbourne, is also making a cash back offer.

This is in contrast to clients using the website villages.com.au which is busier than ever.

The Weekly SOURCE reported last month January 2025 saw a 6% increase in website traffic to villages.com.au Year On Year and February had seen a continuation of the trend with a 16.7% increase in users over the last 30 days as the market hotted up.
