The Executive Director of the Property Councils’ retirement arm is more than halfway through his two-year leadership term, raising the RLC's profile significantly.
Daniel has recently had opinion articles in The Canberra Times, Herald-Sun, Hobart Mercury, Courier Mail, The Daily Telegraph and The Australian, espousing the virtue of retirement living as affordable accommodation.
Over the past six months he has appeared on radio stations ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) Hobart Breakfast (twice), ABC Hobart Mornings, Mix 104.9 Darwin, 2CC Canberra Breakfast, ABC Brisbane Drive show, Sky News Radio and FIVEaa Mornings Adelaide.
"It is unquestioningly a critical time for advocacy. This means conversations with politicians and stakeholders about setting the right conditions to unleash more supply are imperative – especially better housing that helps deliver better health outcomes.
"But without the right regulatory settings, it’ll be hard to improve the lives of the 250,000 people who live in a retirement community, and the hundreds of thousands of future residents entering our communities as Australia’s population continues to age," Daniel said.

Jim was also inducted as a Retirement Living Council Honorary Life Member in July.
