Retirement Living Council (RLC) President Marie-Louise “ML” MacDonald will step down in February following four years at the helm of the peak body.
ML (above), the CEO of Masonic Care WA, was elected to a two-year term in February 2019, which was extended in 2021 due to a number of factors including COVID-19.
Daniel Gannon, Executive Director of the RLC (pictured), told The Weekly SOURCE in a statement that ML has steered the industry through a “very challenging time” during her tenure.
“
As national president of the RLC, ML has helped re-build the reputation, professionalism, quality and standing of retirement villages across Australia, while leading the industry quietly and confidently through the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and COVID-19,” he said.
A new RLC President, along with two Vice-Presidents, will be elected at the Annual General Meeting on February 21, 2023.
