Palm Lake Resorts has lodged a development application for the final five stages of its land lease community at Bargara, near Bundaberg in Queensland.
116 new homes will be built across stages 16 to 20 of the community, which already has more than 500 dwellings, as well as a second clubhouse; the new construction will extend Palm Lake Bargara on vacant land to the southeast.
“The layout of the proposed development, which includes an additional 116 relocatable home sites and communal facilities, including a dog park, caravan storage, vehicle wash down bay and a recreational building, aims to provide a positive urban design outcome which makes efficient use of the land and strengthens the character of the locality,” the DA reads.
“This design is also considered to complement the existing Palm Lake Resort Bargara and future adjoining developments.”
The Palm Lake extension is one of at least three land lease projects announced for the Bargara area in recent years, with Ingenia buying 16.2 oceanfront hectares for a 344-home community in 2021 and Seaview Road Developments lodging plans for a 232-home development last month.
