Ryman Healthcare finish its eighth continuum of care model Bert Newton Retirement Village

The first stage opened in July 2023 and now the village in the trendy suburb of Highett, 16km southeast of Melbourne’s CBD, is finished.

It offers Ryman’s continuum of care, with 85 independent apartments, 45 serviced apartments, and a 79-bed care centre offering low care, high care, and specialist dementia care. Ryman is a registered home care provider and will offer the service to village residents when needed.

Despite Ryman’s financial woes, it has two villages in Melbourne under construction. Deborah Cheetham Village in Ocean Grove is operational and it is being extended. Hubert Opperman Village in Mulgrave is operational but still under construction.
