Michelle, who is a board member of South Australia’s Aged Care Industry Association and Secreteriat Support, Healthy Ageing Faculty, Australian College of Nursing (ACN), lives locally with her family in the town of Kapunda, near the Barossa Valley.

Like her predecessor Lee Martin, who had been CEO of the Not For Profit operator of two retirement villages and three residential aged care homes in South Australia's Barossa Valley for more than a decade, Michelle is a trained nurse.

“My professional journey has been driven by a passion for enhancing the lives of older people, coupled with a strong background in healthcare management, strategic planning, organisational and clinical governance,” she said in the operator’s newsletter.

She was CEO of the community owned Not For Profit Wheatfields, a residential aged care service provider in Freeling, from June 2021 to October 2023, and then Operations Manager for Edenfield Family Care, based in Adelaide, until her appointment at Tanunda.

Uby Faddoul who has been Acting CEO after Lee’s departure, will remain to allow a smooth transition.
