After 13 years at the helm, Lyndel will step down at the beginning of May. She has been instrumental in building its reputation as the peak body for the industries in NSW.
“There is still enormous potential for growth, but the time is right for me to pass the leadership on and explore new opportunities, and I look forward to continuing and expanding my involvement with the industry through my board roles,” Lyndel said.
Land lease communities, also known as lifestyle communities, are a $12 billion sector nationally, that has been labelled the fastest growing solution for homeowners looking at retirement.
"Lyndel’s strong leadership has been transformative, driving significant growth for the industry and our association during her tenure," CCIA President Mark Lindsay said.
"Her passionate and innovative approach has seen significant improvements in the scale and financial performance of our hallmark Supershow and regional Expos, and through establishing a valuable long-term partnership with Destination NSW, she has delivered highly valuable promotional campaigns for our sector."
While stepping away from her role, Lyndel said she remains committed to contributing her extensive knowledge and experience to the tourism industry through a range of board positions, including as Chair of Destination Sydney Surrounds South and Deputy Chair of Surfing NSW.
