The Sydney-based diversified property group announced on 27 May: “Stockland has launched Halcyon Coves, a land lease community designed for over 50s, located in the award-winning Stockland Aura masterplanned community on the Sunshine Coast.”
A good story but then I recalled writing in June last year: Stockland submits plans for 400-500 home land lease community Halcyon Blu on QLD’s Sunshine Coast.
I included: “The site would be the second Halcyon community in Stockland’s master planned community Aura after the start of construction on Halcyon Nirimba in 2021.”
Aura is Australia’s largest masterplanned community, currently home to more than 10,000 residents. When completed, Halcyon Coves will span 20 hectares and include 431 architecturally designed homes.
Halcyon Coves was previously called Halcyon Blu and one can hazard a good guess why the name was changed.
Stockland Project Director Andrew Astorquia (pictured) said Stockland has 21 communities either established or in development across Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, and New South Wales.
“The (Halcyon Coves) community is masterplanned around six distinct sub-neighbourhoods giving, homeowners the opportunity to connect and stay active through various walkways, as well as the immediate connection to Aura’s 200km-plus network of cycle and footpaths,” he said.
Andrew said as Aura continues to grow, there has been interest from multiple generations of families looking to live in closer to one another.
“Aura is a thriving community with a number of great schools, shopping, dining, recreational activities and essential services, and homeowners at Halcyon Coves will have convenient access to these facilities too.”
Halcyon Coves will launch its first release this mo: nth.
