The Bankstown Golf Club has lodged plans with the NSW Department of Planning and Environment to build 145 seniors’ living units on part of its 47ha golf course in Milperra, 24km southwest of the CBD, over four buildings ranging from three to six storeys.
Under the plan, there will be 16 one-bedroom units, 92 two-bedroom units and 37 three-bedroom apartments while the 18-hole golf course would be retained, and a new clubhouse built along with a swimming pool open to the public.
The development will have some competition however – as we reported here, Anglicare is building its own $100 million co-located retirement village and aged care home right next door.
