Retirement Villages: Save time and money with Lumin

Streamline communications 

Hand delivering messages or newsletters to residents is time consuming and there’s no way of automatically confirming whether the communication has been received.  With Lumin installed, your team can send messages individually or en masse and are able to see if the message has been read.  Lumin also negates the need for printing costs.  In addition staff can check in with residents remotely to see if there are any issues or requirements and see how often residents interact with the Lumin screen.

Via a central login to the Lumin Community Management Portal (available on PC via an internet browser), the village team can manage communications to the resident’s Lumin screen (or Lumin app via the residents own devices).  This means you can:

Lumin has an on-screen duress button, wall buttons and pendants, sensors and more, that instantly triggers alerts to supporters and can also be routed to a call centre with trained health professionals 24/7. 

Unlike other devices, Lumin takes emergency duress to the next level using Zigbee monitored wireless technology. All devices check in regularly with Lumin’s monitoring suite to ensure the Lumin Screen and all wireless devices are active including low-battery alerts.

This means no cabling and eliminates the discussion around ‘wired is best. In the event of an emergency Lumin can notify on-site staff or your chosen 24/7 call centre with the resident details to triage the call.
