The second stage of Australia’s first vertical retirement community built within a racecourse precinct; Poinciana House is now set to open early next year with over 60% of its 53 independent living apartments already sold.
Overlooking the Doomben Racecourse at Ascot, 11km southwest of the Brisbane CBD, the one=, two- and three-bedroom apartments are priced from $665,000 for a one-bedroom, $895,000 for a two-bedroom and $1.265 million for a three-bedroom.
This latest stage, which is being built by Balmain & Co, will add a range of new community facilities to the village, including a fitness studio, bowling green, consulting rooms, indoor heated pool (pictured below) and a rooftop terrace, which opened its first stage in 2020.
The village will also be home to a co-located aged care facility, with Opal HealthCare lodging a development application to build its 190-bed, six-storey Ascot Grove Care Community on an adjacent site. The aged care site is due to be finished in 2027.
