As aged care workers face increasing demands on their time, Altura Learning has created a new range of compact learning modules designed to deliver streamlined content to the sector.
The compact courses cover a range of topics, including:
- Sustainability;
- Managing dyspepsia in older adults;
- Understanding radicalisation;
- Open disclosure;
- End of life care;
- Medication review;
- Modern slavery; and
- Power of Attorney.

More titles will be added throughout the year, combining a mix of video, animation and text-based learning.
“We want to embed learning as a part of people’s jobs so it is more fluid and engaging, but it needs to be done in a way that fits around the fact they don’t have a lot of time off the floor,” CEO Paul Goudie (pictured top) told The Weekly SOURCE.
“So, we’ve created a suite of resources that will keep people feeling connected to their own learning journey.”
Altura Learning currently services about 150,000 users across residential aged care and home care, including the UK and Ireland.
