LDK Seniors' Living will deploy care monitoring platform eeviCare at its Amberfield project in Yarralumla, Canberra, where Stage 1 is due to go live at the end of September.
eeviCare combines a traditional nurse call platform with the Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Real-Time-Location and Mobile communications to enable best-practice clinical workflows, analytics and reporting.
LDK, which makes a 'One Move Promise' to residents and offers independent living, low care, high care, palliative care, and respite care, selected eeviCare because it can be adapted to suit residents' changing care needs, and enables powerful data and insights.
David Waldie, Founder and Managing Director of eevi, told The Weekly SOURCE, that LDK and eevi have been working together for 18 months to refine data, analytics and reporting. Care planners can see sleep patterns, motion and activity, and general wellbeing of individuals in their care, as well as operational analytics.
eeviCare's technology is also elegantly designed, in recognition of the fact that Amberfield is the residents' home, not a hospital.
"LDK, like many Private Aged Care operators, are taking on the sometimes heroic task of meeting the diverse care needs in large communities, in a very personalised way. We are super proud to be their technology partner of choice," David told The SOURCE.
When complete, Amberfield will have 52 villas and 272 apartments. Around 400 residents will be using EeviCare call buttons, wearables and sensors everyday. It will be used all the way from Personal Carers and Registered Nurses delivering care to Senior Management reviewing care outcomes and operational performance metrics.
Stage 1 and 2 of LDK Amberfield are selling now, with Stage 1 due to go live in September 2024.
Anglicare Sydney acquired Cromwell Property’s 50% stake in LDK in October 2022.
LDK owns and operates two continuum of care villages: its first purpose-built seniors’ village Greenway Views in Tuggeranong, Canberra, and The Landings in North Turramurra on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, which LDK Foudner and Director Paul Browne bought in December 2018.
