1 min read

The Independent Hospital and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA) has released its Consultation Paper on the Pricing Framework for Australian Residential Aged Care Services 2024–25 and is asking for submissions from relevant stakeholders.

The report outlines:

  • How Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) funding will be calculated
  • Indexation
  • The pricing principles for residential aged care
  • Future pricing adjustments for safety and quality
  • Priorities for current and future developments and areas of work.

HACPA Chair, David Tune AO PSM, said, “The consultation will gather information from a broad range of stakeholders in relation to AN-ACC funding and determine if there are factors that are not yet accounted for.”

Submissions from the 35-page consultation paper will inform IHACPA’s pricing in 2024-25, including for AN-ACC.

Consultation papers are published annually to gain stakeholder views on the proposed costing of aged care services.

IHACPA is now accepting submissions, which close 5pm 31 August 2023. Submissions can be emailed to submissions.ihacpa@ihacpa.gov.au or mailed:
PO Box 483
Darlinghurst NSW 1300
