Work has begun on RetireAustralia’s $80 million development The Green in Tarragindi, 8km south of Brisbane’s CBD.
We reported on the joint ventures of retirement villages and golf clubs last year and RetireAustralia, whose CEO is Dr Brett Robinson, who played 16 Tests for the Wallabies and was the inaugural captain of the ACT Brumbies in the Super 12 competition, clearly likes the sporting connection.
The Green will feature a championship-quality bowls green for residents’ use next door at Tarragindi Bowls Club. RetireAustralia has opened its first vertical village The Verge at Burleigh on Queensland’s Gold Coast, which is located alongside the 10th fairway at Burleigh Golf Club.
RetireAustralia and Yeronga Services and Community Club have joined forces to build the project, which will take Hutchinson Builders 18 months to complete.
