Opal HealthCare is continuing its Western Sydney expansion with plans for a three-storey, 165-bed aged care facility in Narwee, 15km southwest of the Sydney CBD, going on exhibition.
When complete, Opal’s Narwee Parklands Seniors Housing development will contain 165 beds, 30 car parking spaces, an ambulance bay, a kitchen, dining room and lounge rooms, and will occupy a 7,000sqm site including more than 2,000sqm of landscaping.
The plans are available on the NSW Government’s website.
“The proposal seeks to provide 165 residential care beds with associated site service, facilities and public space that will address the rising demand for senior housing choice in Sydney’s south,” the Design Report states.
The private operator is also planning a $45 million, 160-bed home in Carlingford, in Sydney’s north west, and a $35 million, 153-bed home in St Clair, in Sydney’s west.
Opal has 91 residential aged care facilities and more than 8,000 residents across metropolitan and regional NSW, Victoria, QLD, and WA and was last year granted an $800 million social loan.
