Charles Moore (pictured left) will take over as the Not For Profit’s Chief Executive Officer from 13 July 13 following the retirement of current CEO Ross Low (pictured right).
Joining BaptistCare in 2004, Ross Low has guided a number of key projects during his 16 year tenure, where he spent 10 years as CEO, including overseeing BaptistCare’s community housing strategy and a successful bid in 2017 for a share in $1.1 billion in NSW Government funding to build 500 social and affordable housing units.
In particular, Ross will be remembered for his stewardship of the recent COVID-19 outbreak at Dorothy Henderson Lodge in Sydney’s Macquarie Park.
BaptistCare says Ross will continue to work with the organisation until 14 August, in order to fulfil his commitments to the Aged Care Royal Commission and to support a smooth transition of BaptistCare’s leadership.
“We are in an excellent position for the future and I am confident that God has guided the Board to select the right person to take BaptistCare to even greater heights,” he said.
The CEO of Sydney Olympic Park Authority for the last three years, Charles Moore led the creation of the Sydney Olympic Park Master Plan as a sustainable precinct and prior to this role, spent 14 years working across a range of fund and asset management roles at Colonial First State Global Asset Management.
BaptistCare says this successful track record in property investment and development will be critical to its ongoing growth and development in residential aged care, retirement living and community housing projects over the next 10 years.

BaptistCare currently has 18 aged care homes, nine retirement villages, plus home care and community housing and services.
