Jennifer Lawrence has resigned as CEO of West Australian Not For Profit Brightwater Care Group and will leave the aged care provider next April.
Ms Lawrence joined Brightwater Care Group 18 years ago as Director of Care Services. She held a number of roles before becoming before appointed CEO five years ago.
Brightwater Care Group Chairman David Craig said the board was proud of Ms Lawrence’s achievements such as overseeing significant growth in the residential aged care business and leading the ongoing development of the Inglewood residential aged care home and new head office.
Ms Lawrence also established the Brightwater Research Centre and a transitional accommodation program for young people.
“The past two years have been especially challenging and Jennifer has displayed courage, resilience and good humour. She has successfully navigated the organisation through change, quickly adapting, whilst never losing sight of Brightwater’s mission,” said Mr Craig.
Brightwater Care Group, which has grown to own and operate 11 aged care homes across Perth, one retirement village and eight supported independent living share houses for people with complex disabilities, started construction of a 128-bed multi-use campus with 128 aged care beds in the inner Perth suburb of Inglewood, 5km northeast of the CBD, in February.
