Bupa aged care workers in VIC reject 11% pay offer over three years

1 min read

The 3.75% per year offer – well above the current inflation rate of 1.9% – was an increase on the 2.1% over one year initially made by the aged care provider in December last year.

However the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) has recommended rejecting the offers as it doesn’t address inadequate staffing issues.

Bupa is just one aged care operator struggling to balance workforce costs with reduced government funding. Major operators, including big Not For Profits, are reorganising the balance of their staff between high skills and lower skilled staff.
