The QLD Not For Profit is one step closer to completing the first stage of a $67 million aged care precinct in Highfields, around 12km north of Toowoomba.
Carinity hopes to have the 96-bed facility which is being built by Paynters, adjacent to the provider’s existing Brownesholme retirement village, completed by May 2021.
Carinity’s Aged Care Regional Manager Kathy Nicholls says the provider is committed to delivering integrated aged care facilities co-located with retirement villages to provide a continuum of care.
“When it is time for the additional support of aged care living, residents don’t have to move away from established relationships and can maintain their close networks,” she said.
“Having retirement villages and residential aged care communities co-located also enables couples to remain connected if one partner requires a higher level of care.”
