Estia Health Chief Operating Officer Damian Hiser and Regional Manager Sherryn McMahon joined staff at the listed aged care provider’s newest aged care home last week.
The 120-bed home is located at Mount Clear, 5km southeast of the centre of Ballarat in regional Victoria.
Estia Health acquired the home – built in 2019 – for $15.9 million in May this year.
The listed aged care provider now has 73 aged care homes across NSW, QLD, SA, and VIC.
The acquisition is in line with Estia Health’s mission to sustainably grow its portfolio, including purchasing high quality homes in existing “operating clusters”.
With Estia Health’s recent acquisition of Premier Health Care homes and the planned completion towards the end of this calendar year of newly built homes in St Ives and Aberglasslyn, both in NSW, the group will have added 789 places, or 13%, to the Group’s capacity in 12 months.
Estia Health is under consideration for a takeover offer by Boston-based equity investor Bain Capital.
