Hall & Prior teams up with local super fund for $13M Perth hospital purchase

1 min read

The aged care provider and local superannuation fund Fresh Fields Projects have paid $13M for the heritage-listed former Woodside Maternity Hospital in East Fremantle, 18km from the CBD.

Fresh Fields is also the name of the group’s hospitality services division which provides specialised catering and linen services to the aged care industry.

The vacant hospital will now be redeveloped into an aged care facility over a number of years, with Hall & Prior CEO Graeme Prior calling the project a foundation asset for the new joint venture.

The development is in addition to its current development pipeline which includes 400 beds across three facilities in WA and NSW valued at $160M.

The provider has picked up its pace considerably since its first facility in 1992. Hall & Prior is now one of WA’s largest with 14 aged care homes and two home care services with over 1,500 beds in WA and NSW and more than 2,000 staff.
