CHSP is the entry-level of home care and provide short-term support. The funding will be shared between the 1,600 organisations that deliver the CHSP.
“This is about giving [older Australians] as much support and as many options as possible to remain living at home in their communities, close to their families and friends,” Aged Care Minister Ken Wyatt said.
The funding includes $430 million for over 70 WA Home and Community Care (HACC) services which are transitioning to the CHSP from 1 July 2018 plus $2.3 million to offset some of the costs to providers during the process.
