Lendlease will partner with Arcare to deliver a 100-bed residential aged care home at the redeveloped Gold Creek Homestead site in Gungahlin, ACT.
The site, 13km north of Canberra, for which Lendlease won the tender last year, will include independent living units and an aged care facility allowing residents to age in place. Lendlease has described Arcare as “an innovative and creative industry leader” in aged care.
“The proposed offering will cover the full continuum of senior housing services, including independent living, and skilled nursing and dementia care. Research shows that integrated independent living and aged care facilities provide the best care outcomes for residents and families.
“Arcare’s relationship-first approach values the relationships between residents, team members and family. This approach is underpinned through its ‘Six Senses’ framework: Security, Continuity, Belonging, Purpose, Fulfilment and Significance,” the developer said.
The home, situated near the entrance to the precinct, will be built on existing site contours, and will have direct access and street frontage from Monty Place.
