Ms Power (pictured) was recognised with the prestigious national award at the 2019 Australian Healthcare Week Excellence Awards in Sydney last week.
The awards recognise the facilities, teams and individuals who are making the greatest contributions to the health and aged care community.
Ms Power has been the CEO of Lyndoch Living – a residential aged care and in-home care services provider – for five years.
The organisation has grown from humble beginnings as a twelve-bed hostel to a thriving community of six unique residences across south-west Victoria – now with a total 198 residential aged care beds, 562 clients under active case management and 3,500 people accessing its services nationally.
Ms Power credited the award victory to her “passionate” staff of over 400 people.
"Yes, it's leadership, but it's also everyone working together. I'm so proud of my staff”, she said.
Doreen was a speaker on innovation at our LEADERS SUMMIT two weeks ago.
Lyndoch Living’s business focus is “to operate as a successful business so as to confirm our position at the forefront of the care sector today, tomorrow and into the future.”
