Mayflower adds fourth Melbourne aged care home with Edith Bendall Lodge purchase

Not For Profit provider Mayflower Group has acquired Edith Bendall Lodge, a residential aged care home at Pascoe Vale in Melbourne’s north.

Edith Bendall Lodge, a joint project between the Lions Club and the Rotary Club of Pascoe Vale, was opened in 1985 and comprises 60 aged care beds and 14 independent living units. The purchase brings Mayflower’s total number of Melbourne facilities to four.

According to acting Mayflower CEO Dione O’Donnell, Edith Bendall Lodge is a “natural fit” for Mayflower.

Mayflower recently completed a $34 million modernisation and redevelopment of its aged care home in Reservoir, and plans to overhaul its Macleod site; the provider has also obtained permits for two integrated care facilities at Keilor and Gisborne.
