Medical & Aged Care Group acquires ninth Victorian aged care home

Medical & Aged Care Group (MACG) has purchased Grand Cedar Aged Care in Ashwood, Victoria, adding a ninth aged care home in the state to its portfolio.

The 75-bed home owned by NewCare will pass into MACG’s hands on 14 February, and is described by MACG as “offering premium accommodation and an enriched lifestyle”.

“For Medical & Aged Care Group, the acquisition of Grand Cedar Aged Care represents an important step towards providing quality individualised care to residents and their families in the City of Monash Council.

“MACG now owns nine aged care residences around Victoria, including retirement living. We are proud of our achievements and the addition of Grand Cedar Aged Care will complement and expand our high standards of care,” the group said.

MACG has been focused on expanding its residential aged care and retirement living portfolio since divesting its medical practices in 2020.
