The former NSW Premier has turned to his old colleagues to refresh the provider’s leadership team ahead of what is sure to be a period of transformation for the sector.
Mike Baird’s former Chief of Staff as both Premier and Treasurer, Bay Warburton (pictured right) is leaving ASX-listed property group Mirvac after nearly four years as its Head of Stakeholder Relations to join HammondCare as its new General Manager of Home Care.Recruitment firm The Orchard Talent Group says Mr Warburton will be tasked with overseeing the future growth and performance excellence across the Not For Profit’s home care portfolio nationally.
“Bay’s vast experience and leadership capability will greatly contribute to HammondCare’s development and further enable the organisation to achieve its mission,” they state.
He will join Mr Baird’s former Director of Strategy Nigel Blunden who came on as Head of Government Affairs in September 2020 – the same month that the ex-Premier started in his role.
Joanne Reed (pictured right) also joined HammondCare as Chief People Officer in February after four years as NAB’s Chief People Officer.
HammondCare has also recruited for other senior roles in recent times, with the former Chief Executive of the Central Coast Local Health District, Andrew Montague, appointed as HammondCare’s new General Manager Health and Palliative Care.
