The user pays model for aged care has picked up wider attention, with the Sydney Morning Herald running an article on ‘Plan B’ this week.
Plan B, put forward by The Weekly SOURCE, advocates for shifting towards a user pays model to ensure the future stability of the aged care sector.
In the article, the Herald quotes industry experts such as Grant Corderoy of StewartBrown as well as aged care groups who support the idea; however, a Federal Department of Health spokesperson rejected user pays, while Labor declined to comment.
