Signature Care opens Singleton home, its first in WA

Signature Care has opened its first aged care facility in Western Australia, with the opening of Singleton Community Aged Care Home.

The home has 144 beds, based on four houses of 36 residents, each house with its own nurses’ station, servery and dining area.

More than 100 beds are committed. RADs are between $400,000 and $550,000.

The Hon Madeleine King MP and the Hon Klara Andric MLC attended the opening, meeting the first residents and cutting the ribbon.

Family-owned Signature Care, which was founded by Graeme Croft more than thirty years ago, has in the last 12 months has opened four homes: Singleton, Wagga Wagga (NSW, 144 beds, 120 committed), Cardinia (Vic, 190 beds, 120 committed), and Maryborough (Qld, 180 beds, full).

Signature Care CEO Graeme Croft

Graeme is upbeat about the outlook for well-managed care homes in the right location. “There will always be people who need residential aged care,” he told The SOURCE. “We have the complete range of services people need.”

Graeme said the key to their strategy is targeting locations where aged care is underserviced or homes are very old. They have also invested heavily in technology as cornerstone investors in Acredia technology, which, among other things, helps families keep up to date with the care their loved ones are receiving.

Signature Care now has 12 homes in total, four in Victoria, three in NSW, four in Qld, and one in WA.

They are planning future homes in Vic (2), Qld (1), NSW (2), and WA (2).
