TLC gears up to open intergenerational Whitewater facility, including residential care, in Melbourne

TLC Healthcare is preparing to open its intergenerational Whitewater development in Melbourne this month, which includes a 147-bed residential aged care home.

Whitewater, located at Mordialloc in Melbourne’s southeast, is a $70 million facility that has been under development since 2019. Aside from the residential aged care suites, it also will feature a medical centre, early learning centre, café, and commercial health club.

According to TLC’s CEO, Lou Pascuzzi (pictured), the precinct will “cater to everyone, regardless of their life stage” – in particular, GP services will be within easy reach of the aged care residents.

“Delivering such in-demand, multi-generational services that are co-located provides crucial levels of comfort and security, not only to families of our residents in Whitewater aged care but to parents of children who attend our early centre and people who exercise in our health club, as in the event they may need medical attention, they can be treated right here at our medical centre,” he said.

Tours of the residential aged care home will commence on 14 December ahead of a launch event on the 16th; Whitewater will then stagger the opening of its other facilities, such as the medical and early learning centres, over the next few months.
