1 min read

On the 4 February weekend, more than 1,000 people attended the opening of TLC Healthcare’s intergenerational Whitewater precinct, which is located in the Melbourne bayside suburb of Mordialloc, and includes a childcare centre, medical centre, gym, pool, cafe and aged care facility.

The $70 million Whitewater project has been in development since 2019.

TLC is the operator of residential aged care homes, medical and early learning centres, health clubs and gyms across Melbourne and Geelong.

All services at Whitewater are now open, excluding TLC Early Learning which will open soon.

TLC Healthcare CEO, Lou Pascuzzi, said the response to the opening was overwhelming.

“This is a testament to our integrated model of healthcare. It’s what local communities need, and we’re delivering it,” he said.

Of the visitors:

-20% were interested in aged care
-25% in our medical centre
-30% in early learning
-63% in our gym and pool, and
-over 30% in The Village Café.

More than 25% came to see all the facilities and amenities, indicating there is strong community support for the model.

The Village Café served its first customers at the opening, providing a place for the community to gather.

“The menu is exceptionally well priced and caters to everyone. There’s a Grab and Go fridge at the front, so if you’ve dropped your kids off at early learning, been to the medical centre, or used any of our services, you can pick something up on the way home.”
