Ted Rayment, the former CEO of Swan Hill District Health, Canberra Health Services and the Royal Hobart Hospital, is the new acting CEO of Lyndoch Living, which is based in Warrnambool, a city on the south-western coast of Victoria.
Board President Susan Cassidy also has announced Lyndoch is creating three new Board positions to provide “an opportunity to revitalise, refresh and bring in new local talent”.
Lyndoch Living’s CEO Doreen Power took leave after being lambasted by state Liberal MP Roma Britnell, who using parliamentary privilege, accused the CEO of acting with “subterfuge and arrogance”.
Ted (pictured right) replaces Jamie Brennan, who was seconded from Victoria’s South West Healthcare when Doreen took leave.
“After four weeks at the helm of the organisation, Mr Brennan and his South West Healthcare team members have provided significant stability.
“They have worked closely with the current senior leadership team to implement a number of important building blocks that will ensure staff continue to receive the support they need in order to deliver quality care to residents,” said Susan.
Lyndoch Living also appointed a new Chief Financial Officer and is in the process of hiring an Interim Director of Nursing.
Since Doreen’s decision to go on leave, Lyndoch Living has welcomed more than 40 new team members across a suite of clinical and aged care support positions. This includes re-establishing a clinical leadership structure across the organisation that is now led by four Nurse Unit Managers and an Interim Facility Manager at May Noonan.Clinical Team Leadership positions within the main facility have also been filled, with recruiting of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (EENs) remaining a high priority.
