The Queensland-based Not For Profit has begun selling the 40 two- and three-bedroom apartments for its new independent living facility at its huge site in Rockhampton, Central QLD.
It is hoped that the five-storey facility will be built by Hutchinson Builders Toowoomba towards the end of the year, with the first residents moving in early next year.
Benevolent Living’s $39.5 million Rhythms of Life project has seen the first stage, a new resident care building with one-bedroom apartments for couples, and the complete refurbishment of the current reception area and coffee shop, completed.
The 40 independent living units are selling from high $200,000 to high $800,000 for the penthouse suites. There is planning approval for a third building, which is likely to be more independent living units.
“Benevolent Living is responding to gap in the market in Rockhampton. Thanks to prudent financial management, we are able to carry out Rhythms of Life,” said marketing and communications manager Jamie Langdon.
