Community Home Australia to expand Aashaya Jasri Resort in Bali, Indonesia

Innovative Canberra-based dementia care specialists Community Home Australia (CHA), along with PT CHA International Resorts, has announced the acquisition of a 4,000sqm parcel of land adjoining their Aashaya Jasri Resort in Bali.

Aashaya Jasri Resort opened earlier this year and provides disability accommodation and support for people living with dementia, and their supporters.

Dr Rodney Jilek, co-founder and Managing Director of CHA, said the acquisition trebles the provider's land holdings and will be used to expand the Aashaya Jasri Resort with:

  • additional disability compliant accommodation,
  • a 240sqm activity centre,
  • accessible in-ground pool,
  • free medical GP clinic for locals, and
  • accommodation for Australians needing long-term care.

CHA is currently accepting visitors from Australia, Asia and the United Kingdom, and will soon offer packages to people living in New Zealand, the US and Europe.

Last month, CHA revealed it expects to open Canberra's first non-institutional palliative care service for people living with dementia and cognitive disability next year. The residence will be located next door to their existing Kiah House, in Wanniassa, southern Canberra, and will be named Kot House.

CHA is holding an Aged Care and NDIS Leadership Retreat at the resort on 17 February 2025.
