Fresh Hope Care lodge proposal for 900 home “flagship” Western Sydney retirement village

1 min read

Pendle Hill Retirement Village will be transformed into a “flagship” facility with over 900 dwellings under a planning proposal lodged by Not For Profit operator Fresh Hope Care, the NSW arm of Churches of Christ.

The buildings will rise up to eight storeys and replace 86 units over six single-storey buildings on the site, located roughly 30km west of the Sydney CBD.

The Daily Telegraph reports Cumberland Local Planning Panel has supported the application to progress to the Planning Department, which will have the final say.

Fresh Hope Care group operations director Daniel Dwyer says it would be a key investment for the organisation.

“It will be our largest investment in our history and it will be our flagship site and project,” he said.

The village will be next to the site of the former Bonds spinning mills, and will include a 5,500 sq m public park as part of the development.
